2008 marks the 5th year of brewing excellence for Two Thumbs Brewing Company. March/April of 2008 to be exact. Who'd have thought that this small endeavor would be successful for 5 years and have 2 homebrew championships. Celebrations are in the works.
2008 will also bring in the much anticipated 20th successful batch of Two Thumbs Brew. The exact details of this beer are not yet ironed out and will likely be determined by the availability of hops and the price of malt. I am accepting suggestions and am hoping to create something memorable.
2008 will also be the first year Two Thumbs Brewing will enter a major homebrew competition. The plan is to enter the Double IPL in the National Homebrew Competition. Hopefully all will go well with getting entered. I am just happy to be able to enter myself in such a competition. Note: I found out about this competition in the All About Beer magazine, which I received a subscription to for christmas from my wonderful girlfriend, Jessie.
Who knows what else could happen to Two Thumbs Brewing in the new year. Thanks to those of you who've offered advice or criticism, it has been appreciated.
