Spring is here...kinda!

We've had some excellent weather as of late here in North Carolina. The trees are leafing out, the garden's started growing, heck, even the mosquitoes are out. And a wonderful sign of spring has occurred...the sign that I did not screwed things up in the fall...we have HOPS!!

The cascade hops grew much better last year and so I am not surprised to see them coming up strong as seen below. Last time I checked the tallest of the cascade shoots was about 9" tall and it's only April 6!

The centennial hops, on the other hand have so far only sent up one shoot. Hopefully you can see it.
