Born in the back room of a small duplex in Kalispell, Montana in 2003, Two Thumbs Brewing Company has evolved to become, as ZZ Top so aptly put it...Nationwide. Formerly brewed in such metropoli as Kalispell, MT, Whiteville, NC, Blacksburg, VA, and now Clayton, NC. The Two Thumbs name was created by a friend in Spokane, Washington and is a portion of a very funny joke, which I'll tell you when you're older.
This page is simply a way to keep old friends with a hankering for fine ales and lagers up-to-date on what's brewing and what might be available should they happen through Raleigh, North Carolina. To help with this, I have created a special section along the right side of the page called The Cellar, where I will keep a list of what I currently have bottled.
I am by no means an expert brewer; I get most of my recipes from Brew Your Own magazine or the Northern Brewer Homebrew Forum. As far as I can tell, Raleigh has only a single LHBS, American Brewmaster. I split my supply purchases between them and Northern Brewer. Feel free to leave comments or ask questions and I'll do my best to answer them.
And most importantly, this website is purely for fun. TTBC is not, nor has it ever been, a professional brewery. Cheers!
